Loaded for bear, and waving the flag
OPERATION ENDURING FREEDOM--The crew of the B-52H Stratofortress, 'Mud Buff', display the American flag following a mid-air refueling stop on November 1st, 2005. The 96th Expeditionary Bomb Squadron crew carries the flag with them on combat sorties. The aircraft is armed with a load of Mk. 84, 2000 pound JDAMs (Joint Direct Attack Munition) which is a guided air-to-surface weapon. The aircraft and the crew are deployed from the 2nd Bomb Wing at Barksdale Air Force Base, Louisana. (U.S. Air Force photo/Senior Airman Curtis J. Lenz)
