PEASE ANGB PASSENGER SERVICES

SPACE AVAILABLE TRAVEL

WELCOME TO THE PEASE AIR NATIONAL GUARD BASE AIR TERMINAL FUNCTION

Duty Passengers

Duty passengers on Travel Orders are to check-in at the Passenger Service Counter located to your immediate left when you enter the terminal. Counters are open for check-in 4 hrs prior to departure. Duty passengers must be in line NO LATER THAN (NLT) **3 hrs 20 mins** prior to scheduled departure.

Duty Standby & Space Available Passengers

Roll calls are conducted at the ticket counter 3 hours prior to departure. It is recommended that passengers arrive approximately 30 minutes prior to roll call in order to mark themselves present for the flight.

Space Available seats are often limited, therefore, passenger planning and flexibility is key to Space Available travel.

Passengers are reminded that baggage limitations are: 2 bags per individual, limited to 70 pounds max weight per bag and not to exceed the dimensions of 62 linear inches. Passengers may have one carry-on bag and one personal item, that must fit under any aircraft seat.

We are committed to providing you the best possible service. Please let us know if you have any questions or concerns during your visit.

Space Available Reminder

Per DODI 4515.13, Section 4, Paragraph 4.1.a., Reservations. There is no guarantee of transportation and reservations will not be accepted or made for any space-available traveler. The DoD is not obligated to continue an individual's travel or return the individual to the point of origin or any other point. Travelers should have sufficient personal funds to pay for commercial transportation, lodging, and other expenses if space-available transportation is not available. All associated expenses are the responsibility of the traveler.

Guard and Reserve Space-Available Travel

When on active duty for more than 30 consecutive days, Guard and Reserve members may travel Space-A to any location authorized for Space-A travel. Individuals must presentation their military ID, activation orders, and valid leave authorization or evidence of pass status, as required by their service. Dependents may accompany the sponsor.

When not on active duty, authorized RC members and authorized RC members entitled to retired pay at age 60 (i.e., “gray area retirees”) and their dependents (when accompanied by their sponsor) may travel in the CONUS or directly between the CONUS and Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, the U.S. Virgin Islands, Guam, and American Samoa (Guam and American Samoa travelers may transit Hawaii or Alaska); or may travel within Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico or the U.S. Virgin Islands.  (Updated: 15 Feb 2023)

In order to fly Space-A, Guard and Reserve members of the Standby Reserve who are on the active status list, must present a military ID card and DD Form 1853. The same is true of retired Guard and Reserve personnel entitled to pay at age 60, but have not reached retirement age 60.  Dependents of these retirees are authorized to travel Space-A when accompanied by their service member sponsor. This retirement-eligible group must present their red ID card and retirement-eligibility notice or possess a DEERS-generated, red DD Form 2.
