Our next deployed Family Information Gathering will be held on Wednesday October 12, 2010 at 6 p.m. at Pease Air National Guard Base, (Location will be determined by the numbers of RSVP's). Families of our members preparing to deploy and families with their loved ones deployed are highly encouraged to attend; this is a wonderful opportunity for you to get to know other deployed families. If you are interested in attending this meeting please RSVP to Bonnie Rice (as soon as possible) at bonnie.rice@ang.af.mil or (603)-430-3545 so that the evening meal can be planned. These monthly gatherings are also open to those that have had their loved ones return from deployment to share deployment experiences with those currently experiencing the deployment phase. |

What is The First Tee?
Since 1997, The First Tee, a 501(c)3 not-for-profit organization, has introduced the game of golf and its values to more than 3.5 million participants in 50 states, five international locations and more than 3,500 elementary schools. The First Tee has more than 200 Chapters nationwide, each focusing on impacting the lives of young people with fun, golf-related opportunities that teach valuable life skills that can be applied on and off the golf course.
The First Tee's Services to Military Families
In the summer of 2009, The First Tee formed a two-year partnership with the Department of Defense to extend its proven character education and life skills programs to children of military personnel worldwide. Special focus is given to providing services to children of National Guardsmen and Reservists, the "Citizen Soldiers" who have been deployed to war in record numbers. The First Tee programs are being underwritten by the Department of Defense and are available at no cost to military personnel and their families.
Eligibility
School aged children of National Guardsmen and Reservists are eligible to receive The First Tee's golf and life skills program.

If you would like to provide assistance to these families consider volunteering for the Wing Yellow Page Listing.
The Wing Family Program has a "yellow page" listing of resources to offer to during the time their loved one is away. The Yellow Page lists those interested in providing a free or discounted service to our military families in need during a deployment or an extended TDY. This list is kept confidential; contact information is only release to families with the permission of the person or the agency that has offered the service. The Yellow Page listing has assisted families of all components of the service from throughout New Hampshire, Maine and Massachusetts.
