End of an Era

Master Sgt. John Lennon, a boom operator assigned to the 157th Operations Group, grabs his flight bag to prepare for the final departure of the last KC-135 Stratotanker assigned to the 157th Air Refueling Wing at Pease Air National Guard Base on 24 March, 2019. With over 170,000 hours flown supporting every major conflict in recent history, the KC-135 has been an iconic part of Pease's legacy, and its departure marks the end of an era.(U.S. Air National Guard photo by Senior Airman Taylor Queen)
