KC-46 at Pease: The future is now

Matthew Donovan, the acting secretary of the Air Force, is greeted by Staff Sgt. Ashley Shipman, an Airmen assigned to the 157th Air Refueling Wing, Pease Air National Guard Base, N.H., Aug. 8, 2019. Donovan attended a welcoming event at the base to commemorate the arrival of the KC-46A air refueling tanker. Pease was the first National Guard Base to receive the new aircraft, which replaced the divested KC-135 Stratotanker. Hundreds of people attended a welcoming event held along the flight line to usher in the new era of aerial refuelers and future generations of Pease Airmen. (U. S.
